SecTor 2024: Full Schedule Programming

With just one week left until SecTor 2024, please find the full schedule of event programming placed below. SecTor will take place from October 22 to October 24 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in downtown Toronto. In this blog, you’ll find information on our Keynotes, Briefings, Trainings, Business Hall, Summits, Features, and more.

SecTor 2024 Keynotes:

• Wednesday, October 23 at 9:00 AM – Keynote: Leigh Honeywell
  • This Keynote will be presented by Leigh Honeywell, CEO, Tall Poppy

• Thursday, October 24 at 9:00 AM – The XZ-Utils Backdoor: A Case Study in Software Supply Chain Security and Social Engineering

SecTor 2024 Briefings:
Briefings will take place on October 23 and October 24 and feature 45 Briefings hand selected by the SecTor Review Board. Attendees will learn the latest in information security risks, developments, and trends covering everything from artificial intelligence (AI), enterprise security, exploit development, reverse engineering, and more.

SecTor 2024 Business Hall:
Business Hall passes, or Business passes, are currently available for the 2024 event. The Business Hall showcases the latest products and technologies from leading information security solution providers. Hours to access the Business Hall will be 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM on Wednesday, October 23 and 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Thursday, October 24. Business passes provide access to the Keynotes, Arsenal, Sponsored Sessions, Bricks & Picks, and more. All SecTor 2024 pass holders will have access to the Business Hall.

SecTor 2024 Summits:
This year's Summits will take place on Tuesday, October 22, and include:

Black Hat Arsenal at SecTor 2024:
This year's Black Hat Arsenal at SecTor 2024 will take place from October 23 to October 24. Black Hat Arsenal brings together researchers and the cybersecurity community to showcase and demonstrate their latest open-source tools and products in a conversational environment where presenters can interact with the attendees. This year's event will feature 40 in-person tool demos and six labs, spanning exploitation and ethical hacking, reverse engineering, vulnerability assessment, and more.

SecTor 2024 Features:
New for 2024, SecTor will welcome additional Features. Highlights include:

• Bricks & Picks: Returning for 2024, Bricks & Picks will be a combined activity space for attendees to delight their playful and creative sides with plastic building bricks and locks. This activity area will be led by experts in both areas, feature competitions, hands-on demonstrations, and more.
• Community Lounge: SecTor aims to provide a platform to discuss current issues affecting the cybersecurity community. One of the event's newest additions for 2024, the Community Lounge, will highlight sessions and meetups that pertain to diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as career development.This Lounge is part of SecTor's community-focused initiatives to provide programs that educate and engage groups and individuals from all backgrounds.
