Dr. Chris Poirel contributes significantly to all Forcepoint UEBA (formerly RedOwl) data science efforts by spearheading the development of core analytic infrastructure and leading the data processing engineering team. Chris joined RedOwl in 2013 after completing his PhD in computer science at Virginia Tech. During his tenure at VT, he developed novel graph-based algorithms to predict information flow in temporal biological networks. His graduate research was supported by the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship and Virginia Tech Cunningham Fellowship. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics at the University of South Carolina Honors College.
