As head of global security operations, Greg Foss is tasked with leading both offensive and defensive aspects of corporate security. Greg was formerly a Senior Security Researcher within LogRhythm Labs, where he developed new techniques and tools to detect advanced adversaries -- presenting his research at national information security conferences such as Black Hat, DerbyCon, AppSecUSA, BSidesLV, and many others. He is also a very active member of the Denver information security community. Greg started out in the industry as a contract web developer, and then he branched out into security operations with the Department of Energy. After learning about security monitoring, Greg delved into penetration testing, and he was eventually placed in charge of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory's internal Red Team. He have just under a decade of experience in the information security industry with an extensive background in ethical hacking and offensive security.
