Rodrigo "Sp0oKeR" Montoro has 15 years experience deploying open source security software (firewall, IDS, IPS, HIDS, log management) and hardening systems. Currently, he is senior security administrator at Sucuri Security. Before Sucuri, he worked as a researcher at SpiderLabs where he focused on IDS/IPS Signatures, ModSecurity rules, and new detection research. Montoro is an author of two patents-pending in technology involving the discovery of malicious digital documents and analyzing malicious HTTP traffic. He is currently coordinator and Snort evangelist for the Brazilian Snort Community and an OWASP Brazilian chapter member. Rodrigo has spoken at a number of open source and security conferences OWASP AppSec, ToorCon, H2HC (Sao Paulo and Mexico), SecTor (Canada), CNASI, SOURCE (Boston and Seattle), ZonCon (Amazon Internal Conference), BSides (Las Vegas and Sao Paulo) and serves as a coordinator for the creation of new Snort rules, specifically for Brazilian malware.
