USA 2017 : Highlights of Black Hat USA 2017

Thank you to everyone who attended Black Hat USA 2017 and made our 20th year the most robust show to date. Over the course of six days, we welcomed more than 17,000 Information Security researchers and professionals from around the world. Here are a few show highlights and key links:

  • A slate of international experts presented 73 different Training courses, on subjects ranging from basic pentesting techniques, to cryptography, malware analysis, automobile hacking, social engineering and more.  See Complete Trainings Lineup
  • Alex Stamos, Facebook CSO and Black Hat Emeritus Review Board member keynoted ""Stepping Up Our Game: Re-focusing the Security Community On Defense and Making Security Work for Everyone," in which he shared adaptations for tackling tomorrow's security landscape. View the Keynote Recording

  • Arsenal welcomed 90 open-source tools. Presenters showcased solutions for assessing and automating security testing, developing secure web applications, decrypting malware and more. See ToolsWatch GitHub Repository
  • This year's Business Halls hosted 300+ solutions providers and a multitude of workshops on industry tools, trends and career opportunities. Check Out Event Photos
  • Day Zero welcomed 700 Black Hat first timers and veterans for a complete overview of Black Hat History, highly-anticipated talks and tools for submitting future proposals. Download Day Zero Presentation Materials
  • Expanded Diversity programs brought over 200 InfoSec students and practitioners to Black Hat through a variety of programs. Black Hat partners included QueerCon, the International Consortium of Minority Cyber Security Professionals, Women's Society of Cyberjutsu, Executive Women's Forum, and Women in Security and Privacy (WISP).
