SecTor 2025: Full Schedule Programming


With less than two weeks until SecTor 2025 begins, please find the full schedule of event programming placed below. SecTor will take place from September 30 to October 2 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in downtown Toronto. In this blog, you'll find information on our Keynotes, Briefings, Trainings, Business Hall, Summits, Features, and more.

Keynotes:

Briefings:
Briefings will take place on Wednesday, October 1 and Thursday, October 2, and feature over 45 Briefings hand selected by the SecTor Review Board. Attendees will learn the latest in cybersecurity risks, developments, and trends covering everything from AI, reverse engineering, exploit development and vulnerability discovery, and more.

All Briefings pass holders will also receive access to all recorded Briefings for 30 days following the close of the event (October 9–November 8).

Business Hall:
Business Hall passes, or Business passes, are currently available for the 2025 event. The Business Hall showcases the latest products and technologies from leading cybersecurity solution providers. Hours to access the Business Hall will be 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM on October 1 and 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM on October 2. Business passes provide access to the Keynotes, Arsenal, Sponsored Sessions, Bricks & Picks, and more. All SecTor 2025 pass holders will have access to the Business Hall.

Summits:
This year's Summits will take place on Tuesday, September 30 and include:

  • The second annual AI Summit at SecTor – This Summit will bring together leading experts in the fields of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI), offering a comprehensive look at the intersection of these two rapidly evolving domains. Sessions will cover topics such as AI-driven attacks, AI-powered solutions, and strategies for securing AI within enterprises.   • The tenth annual Cloud Security Summit at SecTor – This Summit is Canada's leading cloud security event featuring panel discussions and networking opportunities to provide an invaluable opportunity for every security professional to engage with leaders and discuss the future of cloud security. Arsenal:
This year's Black Hat Arsenal at SecTor 2025 will take place on October 1 and October 2. Black Hat Arsenal brings together researchers and the cybersecurity community to showcase and demonstrate their latest open-source tools and products in a conversational environment where presenters can interact with the attendees. This year's event will feature 40 in-person tool demos and six labs in total (three labs on each day), spanning cloud security, exploitation and ethical hacking, reverse engineering, and more.

Features Highlight:

  • Bricks & Picks: Returning for 2025, Bricks & Picks will be a combined activity space for attendees to delight their playful and creative sides with plastic building bricks and locks. This activity area will be led by experts in both areas, feature competitions, hands-on demonstrations, and more.

  • Community Program: The Community Program fosters idea-sharing, discussion, and connection around shared interests and key issues in cybersecurity via Community Conversations. This year, the Community Conversations will take place in the Community Lounge within the Business Hall, offering a space to support networking and community engagement.

  • Startup Spotlight Competition: The Black Hat Startup Spotlight Competition is a pitch competition for cybersecurity startup companies interested in the opportunity to present their products and solutions in front of a live audience at Black Hat. The top four finalists will be invited to exhibit at SecTor 2025, as well as receive one 20-minute speaking session and one 30-minute call with an Omdia cybersecurity analyst. The winner will then be invited to Black Hat USA 2026 to compete in the Global Startup Spotlight Competition.

  • Scholarship Program: As a way to introduce the next generation of security professionals to the SecTor community, SecTor will be awarding complimentary SecTor 2025 Briefings passes to a limited number of student applicants. Black Hat holds its own annual Student and Veteran Scholarship programs, and partners with a variety of associations on additional scholarship opportunities.
