Black Hat Startup Spotlight Competition Launches at Black Hat Asia 2025
Win your way to exhibit at Black Hat Asia, but make sure to act quickly–the submission window will close on March 3
The Black Hat Startup Spotlight Competition, a pitch competition for cybersecurity startup companies to present their products and solutions in front of a live audience at Black Hat, has now officially launched for Black Hat Asia 2025. Black Hat Asia will take place April 1-4 at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Singapore, and the competition finalists will exhibit and present on April 3 and April 4, while the winner will be announced on April 3 in the Business Hall Theater A at 4:15 PM.
What do you need to know to enter?
Those interested in entering the competition must create and submit a five-minute video pitch and submit select company information highlighting their company's competitive advantages of their product or solution, as well as how it will help cybersecurity professionals. Products and solutions can be in development, about to launch, or in the recently launched phases. Please note, video pitch submissions longer than five minutes will not be considered for the competition.

Which companies can submit an entry?
Any startup company that is five years old or less and has less than 50 employees may enter the competition. Please note, a company does not need to currently be an Exhibitor at Black Hat Asia 2025 to enter.
What needs to be included in the video pitch?
Each video pitch must include the following:
- Outline of your current business model
- Your company's unique selling proposition:
- What problem is your product/service solving?
- What is the customer pain point?
- How is the business funded?
- Total funding raised to date (include one of the following in USD):
- Up to $5M
- $5M - $10M
- $10M - $20M
- More than $20M
- Reference current customer(s)
Suggested content (optional):
- Your go-to-market strategy
- Your top competitors (including details on similarities and key differentiators)

What do finalists receive?
Four finalists will be chosen and all finalists will receive:
- One turnkey startup booth at Black Hat Asia 2025
- One 25-minute speaking session in a Business Hall Theater
- One 30-minute call with an Omdia cybersecurity analyst
Key Dates for the Startup Spotlight Competition at Black Hat Asia 2025:
- January 1: Competition Opens
- March 3: Submissions due and submission window closes
- March 7: Finalists announced
- April 3 & 4: Finalists exhibit and present at Black Hat Asia, winner announced on April 3
