He has a Honours Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering and is a Certified Internet Expert (CCIE), Cloud and Security Professional (AWS, CISSP, GWAPT, GCFA , GCIH), Blockchain Professional (Oxford Blockchain, Consensys Developer), and Deep Learning specialist (from Coursera deeplearning.ai). He has >20 years of years of experience in the ICT industry and has designed and built large cyber security systems for government, healthcare and fintech customers. He has two awarded patents for to secure and monitor and restore modern websites from defacement attacks.

Lucas Nelson is a Founding Partner of Lytical Ventures; with roots as an old-school hacker and cybersecurity expert, Lucas brings deep technical expertise to venture capital.A Kauffman Fellow (Class of 2015), Lucas holds an MBA from Dartmouth and a BS in Computer Science from Purdue University.

Lucas began his career as part of the underground hacking scene, joining DefCon in 1995 as a Goon—helping to run what would become the largest hacker convention in the United States. He later joined @stake, one of the first elite hacking consulting firms, where he legally broke into banks and early internet companies from 2001 until its acquisition by Symantec in 2005.

In the venture capital world, Lucas served as a Principal at Evolution Equity and Gotham Ventures before co-founding Antecedent Ventures with his current partner, Steve Berg. Beyond investments, he has held operating roles at Adobe and several startups, giving him hands-on experience in the challenges faced by high-growth companies.

Jonathan Ong supports Omdia’s Managed Security Services, focusing on managed detection & response (MDR). He covers the analysis of security providers and their offerings, along with trend analysis to bring you what’s hot and what’s passé, with a spotlight on the APAC region.

Jonathan was previously a cybersecurity analyst at a forex trading company and consulted at a boutique firm specializing in cybersecurity frameworks. He brings a business-led approach to security through experiences at a programmatic marketing MNC and a fintech startup group. Jonathan studied at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in Champaign, Illinois and Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics.

Cecil Su serves as Director for Cyber Security at BDO Singapore, where he leads initiatives in AI security, advanced threat intelligence, and cybersecurity advisory services. With extensive expertise in security testing and data privacy, he specializes in developing comprehensive security frameworks that transcend conventional compliance requirements. In his role, Cecil architects enterprise-wide security solutions across diverse industries, focusing on emerging threats at the intersection of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. His strategic approach combines technical depth with business insight, helping organisations protect their critical assets against evolving cyber threats while navigating complex regulatory landscapes.

As part of his extra-curricular activities, Cecil is also a Fellow of the Association of Information Security Professionals (AiSP), an OWASP Singapore Chapter co-lead, and CREST Asia Council board member. His contributions to the field extend to his role as Subject Matter Expert/Judge for WorldSkills Singapore for Cybersecurity and his work on the OWASP Testing Guides v3 and v4.

Lian Jye is a chief analyst at Omdia, responsible for the orchestration of enterprise technology market research in the Asia & Oceania region. He provides strategic guidance and business intelligence on AI, IoT, and robotics infrastructure, software, and services. Prior to joining Omdia, Lian Jye worked in the research industry for nine years having started as a junior analyst covering cellular telecommunications technologies. In recent years, he has functioned as research director of AI and robotics, leading market intelligence services covering global market development and technological trends in robotics and AI hardware, software, and services. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the National University of Singapore and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Melbourne.

RunSybil

Ariel Herbert-Voss is the founder and CEO of RunSybil, an automated offensive security company. Previously Ariel was the first research scientist at OpenAI focused on developing algorithmic exploits for large language models and led the red team engagements for the GPT3 and Codex model releases. Prior to OpenAI Ariel was a Harvard computer science PhD candidate and a fellow at the Belfer Center. Ariel has spoken at BlackHat, DEF CON, and NeurIPS, and co-founded the DEF CON AI Village community.
