Ari Trachtenberg is a professor at Boston University, where he is involved with the center for reliable information systems and cyber security, and a visiting professor at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. His research interests include cyber security (smartphones, offensive and defensive), networking (security, sensors, localization); algorithms (data synchronization, file edits, file sharing), and error-correcting codes (rateless coding, feedback). Mostly though, he likes to teach, hack, teach about hacking, and hack teaching.
