Due to high demand, media badges to Black Hat Asia are limited in number. Only commercial news outlets, major analyst firms and leading industry bloggers will be issued media badges. Private consultants are not eligible for a media pass, and should request a pass from their sponsoring company.
To be considered for a complimentary media pass for Black Hat Asia, the applicant must cover the information security industry on a regular basis by writing frequent reports or publishing relevant articles on the industry that are not solicited by an exhibiting company and are not confidential. All applicants are required to provide links to bylined articles, reports or blog posts clearly indicating authorship.
At the event, you will be required to present a business card, government issued picture ID, and proof of confirmation. On occasion, for on-site applicants we will require articles on your organization's masthead and contact information for your assignment editor should we need it to validate your credentials before issuing you a media pass.
Pre-registration is strongly encouraged due to limited space. Should you attempt to attain credentials on-site, we cannot guarantee complimentary media admission.

During the conference we will provide a press room with Internet access and electrical outlets for laptop computers. If you need a separate room for filming interviews, please request it in advance.
