Micro Summits are designed to foster education and collaboration on focused topics that have wide applicability to the cybersecurity industry. Leading experts will share their insights on key topics and enable attendees to connect with fellow attendees, speakers, and industry leaders to better understand critical issues and solutions.

Each Micro Summit is a half-day program combining subject matter expertise and networking opportunities. All-day attendance is not required. Micro Summits take place during Briefings. Attendees can easily participate in both programs. No pre-registration is required.

Jeremiah Grossman brings 20+ years of experience in Computer Security and has become one of the most recognizable and world-renowned cybersecurity experts in the industry, coining several of the original hacking terms commonly used around the world today. Early in his career, Jeremiah was known as “The Hacker Yahoo” which led to his role as the company’s Information Security Officer. Jeremiah founded WhiteHat Security (now Synopsis), and served as Chief of Security Strategy for SentinelOne which was the highest-valued cybersecurity IPO in history. Most recently, Jeremiah was the founder & CEO of Bit Discovery, which was acquired by Tenable in 2022. He also serves as a company advisor and board member to several tech startups. In his spare time, Jeremiah does Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and is passionate about classic cars. He recently opened Toybox, a luxury car club in Boise, Idaho.

This event explores the business view of digital transformation, assessing and providing insights into how cybersecurity can be incorporated and carefully balanced. Experts will detail how organizations will need to approach risk assessment and management with this in mind, mitigating, accepting and transferring risk in some instances to insurance. Alongside this business focus, the ICS summit will explore the cybersecurity implications of connectivity, with a focus on the benefits and challenges of deploying and layering Industrial IoT (IIoT) with OT networks.

Hollie Hennessy

Principal Analyst

Hollie Hennessy is a Principal Analyst, IoT Cybersecurity for Omdia. She provides insight into the fascinating and fast-moving domain of IoT cybersecurity.

Hollie has a range of experience in research. She began her career in the legal sector, writing and researching for expert witness reports on the labor market. She then moved into product testing, with a consumer protection focus. In this role, she was responsible for managing comparative tests of various technology products, as well as regular testing and investigative work into the security of these products.

She has published articles in Which?, one of the UK’s largest subscription magazines, produced by the country’s largest consumer organization; and Computing magazine.

Marina Krotofil

Security Researcher

Marina Krotofil is a cyber security professional with over a decade of hands-on experience in securing Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). She managed and executed diverse technical projects around the world across a variety of industrial domains. She is also an experienced Red/Blue Teamer who researched numerous novel attack vectors, exploitation techniques, designed novel defence methods and led complex incident responses. Marina frequently collaborates with international organizations on the topics of critical infrastructure security, she is also a regular speaker at the leading conference stages worldwide and is a frequent reviewer of academic manuscripts and grant proposals. At Black Hat Marina leads Cyber-Physical Systems track. Marina holds MSc. in Telecommunications, MSc. in Information and Communication Systems and an MBA in Technology Management.
