Peter Naumovski
Pete Naumovski is a proven cyber security executive with more than 30 years of information security and IT risk management. Pete is the Global Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for AbbVie, one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world with global responsibility for all facets of the cyber security program including: security operations and engineering, security architecture, and governance, risk and compliance. He has built strong credibility with the board of directors through the implementation of a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy.
Pete has established a solid track record of building effective, sustainable security programs for global organizations in a wide range of industries. Most recently, he was Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer at Blue Cross Blue Shield Association. Prior to that, he was CISO, Vice President of Information Technology at Office Max. Other executive positions include Director of Information Security Consulting at PWC.
Pete was elected to the Health-ISAC Board of Directors, an elite group of leaders filling a critical role in protecting the healthcare and public health sector against cyber threats and vulnerabilities. He collaborated with other board members to provide guidance and insights on cybersecurity matters, ensuring that the organization remains at the forefront of addressing emerging threats.
Pete holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Northern Illinois University and is a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP).
A father to three children ages 18 to 23, Pete is a singer songwriter who has been playing music since he was 9 years old.
