As an attorney, a former intelligence officer and a diplomat, I integrate these perspectives, skill sets, and experiences to troubleshoot problems for clients, esp. in cybersecurity and international compliance matters, such as FCPA and OFAC. I draw on 30+ years of international expertise--in intelligence and investigations--to assist companies facing internal and external crises, whether from attacks on their information systems to allegations of corruption, violations of sanctions and export controls or ethics/compliance. Elsewhere, I draw on my foreign policy and government experience to counsel clients in national security, including export controls and dealings with the Committee for Foreign Investment (CFIUS) in the United States. I aim to help my clients overcome challenges that require a multi-dimensional approach--whether it be legal, political or otherwise.
