Kun Yang received his Bachelor of Natural Science degree from the University of Science and Technology of China and his Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Florida. He served as a Sr. Security Architect at NVIDIA Corporation from May 2018 to January 2022. He joined Zhejiang University as a ZJU100 Young Professor in March 2022. His research interests include intelligent connected vehicle security, SoC/CPU/GPU security architecture, and secure converged architecture of software and hardware. The symmetric crypto accelerator that he was in charge of developing and the asymmetric crypto accelerator that he participated in developing have been integrated into the latest NVIDIA Drive AGX Orin and NVIDIA Grace CPU. He is chairing multiple national-level and enterprise-funded research projects. He is a recipient of the 2022 Hangzhou West Lake Pearl Project Overseas High-Level Young Talent, 2022 Zhejiang University Qizhen Outstanding Young Scholar, 2021 NVIDIA Patent Award, 2020 NVIDIA NTECH Conference Best Paper Award (1st Place), and 2016 IEEE International Symposium on Hardware Oriented Security and Trust (HOST) Best Paper Award Nomination.
