Kazuki Matsuo

Kazuki Matsuo is a security researcher at FFRI Security specializing in low-level security, who recently graduated with a master's degree from Waseda University this year. He majored in computer science during his undergraduate and graduate studies, focusing on UEFI security. With an intense passion for low-level security, he conducted research on obfuscation of UEFI modules, and won the Student Paper Award at Computer Security Symposium 2022, the largest academic security conference in Japan. He will also present his research at DIMVA 2024. His main interests are negative rings, such as hypervisors, SMM and ME.
