Jake Valletta is a Senior Regional Leader on Mandiant's Professional Services team (now a part of Google Cloud) based in San Francisco, California and currently leads Mandiant's Proactive Services Red Team for the Western US region. Jake has worked in Information Security for over 11 years and performed targeted Red Teaming and Penetration Testing for organizations across all verticals. Jake is passionate about mobile security, embedded device security, and platform security. At Mandiant, Jake has researched and responsibly disclosed dozens of vulnerabilities across a wide range of devices and platforms including HP, Qualcomm, Motorola, Lenovo, Google, Tesla, and Pulse Secure. Jake is the primary author and maintainer of Attacking Mobile Applications, Mandiant's mobile application security course. Jake has also spoken at industry-recognized conferences on mobile security topics and published articles on exploiting embedded devices including Black Hat Arsenal, NullCon, BRUCON, and B-Sides.
