Harrison Pomeroy has 10 years of cybersecurity experience ranging from Fraud Investigation Analyst, Cybersecurity Analyst, Incident Response Engineer, Threat Hunting, and Threat Detection. He is currently the Lead Engineer for the Threat Detection Team, which is responsible for developing and managing detection, incident response capabilities, automated prevention capabilities, cloud-based threat detection, automated intelligence frameworks, detection research and operationalizing security tools. In addition to these responsibilities, his team directly supports the Cybersecurity Defense Center, Cyber Threat Management, Threat Hunting, Threat Intelligence, and Offensive Security's Purple Team. Harrison demonstrates his abilities through developing custom detection frameworks, and intelligence that enables the platform to automate the prevention of large-scale abuse. Additionally, he consistently refines detection strategy and maturity to uplift the discipline within the organization to ensure PayPal can identify emerging and novel threats.
