Shane Rudy (@H011YxW00D) is a Senior Security Consultant and penetration tester at Coalfire Labs. Shane began penetration testing in 2008 and has conducted hundreds of penetration tests with a primary focus on networks, web applications and APIs for both the private and government sectors. Shane has been a guest blogger for Metasploit, written several articles for security publications, and has spoken and performed demonstrations at multiple cybersecurity events throughout his career. Shane has also been a cybersecurity guest speaker and instructor for high school students and has a passion for mentoring and teaching others. In his spare time, Shane enjoys researching, creating and refining more manual customized attack methods to use on internal penetration tests rather than relying on frameworks that while automated, often get caught.
