Rick started his career as a hacker by cheating in the video games he played. Developing cheats for these games taught him how to reverse engineer programs and write code. Later this knowledge helped him easily transition from reverse engineering and game hacking to network hacking, which is what he has been doing since he started working at Fox-IT. He uses his knowledge to investigate networks and systems, and identify critical vulnerabilities that might be used by malicious attackers.
