As Head of Offensive Services team Tyler leads a team of high performance security professionals within the offensive security field by simulating sophisticated adversaries, and creating scalable offensive security platforms using the latest techniques as seen in the wild.
Tyler is always thinking like an adversary, looking for ways to circumvent security systems and processes by any means necessary.
As Head of Offensive Services Tyler directs the development of a world class offensive security capability, strategy, and program, including the leading and ownership of functional areas of Offensive services at InGuardians, Inc. and Red Team operations, communications, and research.
Tyler specializes in Red Teaming, APT threat modeling, blackbox network penetration testing, Physical/Social-Engineering and web application penetration testing.
Tyler's experience with both offensive and defensive cyber security industry, as well as his versatile exposure to many different networks, sets him apart as a unique security analyst. Tyler holds industry recognized certifications; these include GIAC, GPEN, GCIH, GWAPT, GCWN, GSEC and he is on track for the prestigious GSE.
Tyler helped teach the DarkSide Ops class at Blackhat teaching the tactics, techniques and procedures used by NSA through the mentoring of ex-NSA operators. He has also presented to multiple branches of the military on Red Teaming as well as for SANS Security events.
He has participated on the NIATEC and Pacific Rim CCDC Red Teams as an adversarial opponent.
Tyler prides himself in having outstanding character, passion, judgment and communication skills.
Tyler is serious and passionate about conducting stealthy, covert penetration tests to help customers understand and better defend against real attackers.
