Kyle O'Meara (@cool_breeze26) is a Senior Member of the Technical Staff at the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) CERT Coordination Center (CERT/CC). In addition he is an Adjunct Faculty, teaching graduate level applied technical courses and Faculty Advisor to the MSISPM program at Carnegie Mellon University as well as undergraduate cyber security courses at Duquesne University. He has been in information technology for 12+ years, most, if not all, with a cyber security focus. Past jobs includes roles at FireEye as a lead threat analyst and trainer and the National Security Agency as a technical analyst including a deployment to Iraq. Kyle has spoken at national and international cyber security conferences to include DEF CON, Senate Cyber Threat Intelligence Summit, FIRST Technical Colloquium, BSidesPGH, Three Rivers Information Security Symposium, ShmooCon, and BlackHat USA Arsenal. Kyle helps to put together the BSidesPGH CTF. Much of his current work focuses on threat research and analysis of embedded systems and malware.
