Continue to check back to see our specific initiatives for this event! Please view our Sustainability Pledge for more information.

Black Hat is committed to positively impacting the cybersecurity community and the planet. Below are key sessions, features, partnerships, and resources that highlight Black Hat’s efforts to deliver a responsible and inclusive event.

  • Inspiring Sustainable Development

    • To inspire sustainable development in the cybersecurity community, Black Hat is featuring Briefings, Community Sessions, Meet-Ups, and Networking Events that connect to sustainability, diversity, and inclusivity:

      • We host an annual Student Scholarship, as well as partner with organizations to increase accessibility to our event in the form of scholarships.

      • Community Lounge: A new feature for 2025 as part of our Community Programming, the Community Lounge is designed to shed light on current issues and provide a safe space to connect as a community on common interests or goals.

      • Some top sessions to check out include:
        • Hacking the Status Quo: Tales from Leading Women in Cybersecurity: This Community Conversation focuses on careers, challenges, and successes in cybersecurity, from women that are part of Black Hat’s Review Board. This is a great opportunity to network with other women within the field.

        • Career Quest: This interactive CTF-style challenge will push participants to complete hands-on exercises in key career development areas, earning points along the way. This is not just another career workshop. This is about active participation, real-time learning, and coming out ahead.

  • Minimizing Environmental Impact

    • Black Hat is hosting a step competition at the event! This friendly competition is intended to promote physical activity, and there is even the opportunity to win a prize!

    • Black Hat Asia 2025 is powered by 100% renewable electricity.

    • Our venue, the Marina Bay Sands, focuses on various sustainability initiatives, including extensive food waste management and water conservation.

    • We are educating our general contractors and sponsors about Informa's Better Stands program, which encourages the move away from disposable, single-use stands at our event, in favor of reusable or recyclable structures.

    • We preference digital signage and encourage exhibitors and sponsors to think about sustainability in their procurement choices.

    • Water refill stations are available throughout the convention center.

  • Designing Socially Responsible Events

    • Black Hat has developed a Code of Conduct and Sustainability Pledge to hold itself, our attendees, vendors, and contractors accountable to deliver the best event experience possible.

    • Black Hat Asia is intentionally located in Singapore to encourage local commuting. The venue is easily accessible via the MRT (Mass Rapid Transit). Marina Bay Sands can be reached by the Circle and Downtown Lines and is located at the Bayfront MRT station.

    • Pronoun ribbons will be available at Registration to use in conjunction with conference badges. Additionally, there is an option in which pronouns can be displayed on profiles on our mobile app.

    • We work with temporary associates who dedicate their time to help ensure attendees have an excellent event experience.

    • Accessible seating will be available in each of the Keynote and Briefing rooms and is reserved with signage.

    • Open captioning will be available for all recorded content as part of the Black Hat On-Demand experience.
