As the Chief Operating Officer with AustCyber, Linda Cavanagh is an advocate and champion for Australian cyber security, working in partnership with State and Territory Governments to grow a vibrant and innovative cybersecurity ecosystem that contributes to strong national economic growth.
Prior to joining AustCyber, Linda was Head of Policy & Cabinet for the Chief Minister for the ACT where she was responsible for the ACT Government’s policy and legislation agenda. Linda also had a successful 21-year career with the Australian Federal Police, having worked nationally and internationally across a variety of portfolios, with a specific focus on law enforcement policy and legislation during latter years.
Linda is also the Founder of the National Missing Persons Hackathon, an Australian first crowdsourced OSINT event that assists Australian law enforcement investigations into missing person cases. This event was delivered in partnership between AustCyber, Australian Federal Police and Trace Labs in 2019 and 2020.
