Ray is a Consultant in Mandiant's Singapore office. His current role requires him to perform targeted attack investigations, which involves incident response, compromise assessment, and forensics to identify attacker groups, attacker capabilities, infrastructure, and intentions.
With over 10 years of experience in both private and public sectors, Ray has a solid background in digital forensics and malware analysis. He has a thorough understanding of malware, computer forensics, network forensics, and tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) that are leveraged by attackers.
Ray previously worked for KPMG Singapore, in the Forensics practice where he specialised in Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR), providing DFIR training to clients, and running Threat Hunting assessments.
Ray started his career performing web application penetration testing with Radiantrust (the company that designed and implemented the first iteration of SingPass: a nationwide ID system in Singapore). He then joined the Singapore Infocomm Technology Security Authority (SITSA) as part of the Incident Response team, where he performed computer forensics, network forensics, malware investigations, online investigations, and incident response management tasks.
