MANDIANT ROLE
Mr. Starkey is a Senior Consultant based in Queensland, Australia. As part of the Incident Response team, he provides emergency services to clients when a security breach occurs. He also helps clients create incident response management programs, analyses and tests existing incident response plans, conducts forensic investigations, and provides incident response and forensics training.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Mr. Starkey has over 20 years of incident response experience in both public and private sector including both CERT Australia and AusCERT. He has a thorough understanding of malware and tactics, techniques and procedures leveraged by attackers. He is also an experienced programmer, digital forensics investigator and incident responder.
Prior to joining Mandiant, Mr. Starkey led a Queensland Government Cyber Security Operations Team tasked with responding to security incidents within Police, Fire and Ambulance networks. He was responsible for developing the Incident Response framework and processes, and leading the team that implemented these processes during the 2014 G20 summit held in Brisbane.
